I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Public History. After working in the archives at the public library and volunteering for numerous historical projects around town I soon realized that what I loved most about my job was talking with people about history, telling stories, asking and answering questions, and that's, well... TEACHING. So I went back to Appalachian State to complete a teacher certification program in secondary social studies education.

When I am not teaching enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling. I am very fond of bad jokes (especially if they are punny and history related!), and my students are subjected to them on a daily basis.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for anything, I always have time for my students and am extremely approachable. Contact me anytime you need anything (yes, that means emails after school and on the weekends!).
